Just received a delivery order of a calzone and it had zero ricotta cheese in it. I have ordered here several times in the past and their calzones always had ricotta. The food did not taste good either, which is odd because the food has been delicious when I previously ordered. I also paid for extra sauce and I received one small cup of sauce. I will not be ordering again.

We ordered from Uber Eats. The large Greek salad was great. Romaine lettuce was very fresh and crispy. Much better than I get at most restaurants (where I’m sure it’s fresh out of a bag). We also had the two slice special and it hit the spot. The order came very quickly and was delivered right to our door.

I understand it was a busy time, so I'm willing to give some grace, but the overall experience was disappointing. We ordered a cheese pizza and a Hawaiian. Both pizzas had a strange texture; the outer crust was dry and hard, while the centers were wet and soggy. The Hawaiian was especially soggy in the middle, and on the cheese pizza, the cheese slid right off the crust with each slice. They also we not cut through the crust. I had to get a plastic knife to actually cut through the crust and have slices. I also asked about the beer prices, but couldn't get a clear answer. I asked, "How much is the beer?" and was told, "It's like a dollar something off right now." When I followed up with, "Okay, so how much is it?" the response was, "Like a dollar something less." Less than what? $5? $10? Since I couldn't get a straight answer, I decided not to order one. A few other things stood out: ranch was $1 for a small container, there were no complimentary pitchers or cups of water available, and bottled water cost $1.50 for what appeared to be standard Sam's Club bottled water. Wow 🤯 amazing pizza, Philly, tiramisu, and the French fries were outstanding. This spot has really good food. Great work guys the team make sure the guests are happy.

Angelo’s = Jersey Shore Approved, Chicago Guy Confused (In a Good Way) A good buddy of mine from the Jersey shore told me, “You HAVE to go to Angelo’s,” and honestly… I respect the recommendation because this place feels like I accidentally walked into a New York bar scene with pizza on standby. Not complaining — just reporting as a slightly confused Chicago guy who’s used to pizzas that could double as a manhole cover. 😂 Now listen… I can’t bag on the pizza — it’s definitely solid — but it also wasn’t the best slice I’ve ever had. It’s more like: “Hey, I’m pizza… and I’m here for a good time, not a long time.” What Angelo’s does absolutely crush though: ✅ Friendly service (everyone was cool and welcoming) ✅ Elite people-watching (I saw at least 3 first dates, 2 fantasy football arguments, and one guy who looked like he was negotiating world peace) ✅ Drinks priced surprisingly reasonable for being this close to Beach Drive and Central — I kept waiting for the “downtown tax” to hit and it never did. If you want a fun vibe, solid food, and a spot that feels like it has a permanent soundtrack of “YO!” in the background… Angelo’s is your move. 🍕🍻
